X-MEN (first animation)











 I am on an X-MEN high! I don't usually lean on stories where in there are more than 10 different writers involved and worse, NO CONSISTENCY IN CHARACTERS AND STORY, maybe this is what I don't like about this franchise, but but the whole idea of mutants and their predicaments were really what got me hooked. That's the only consistent thing, mutants vs mutants, mutants vs humans, mutants vs their own selves.

For people, mostly teenagers nowadays, who haven't watched any X-MEN animated series, I'd recommend watching the first animation first, so that you can appreciate X-MEN evolution better.

I think I'm blessed, my generation is blessed to be born in a time where brilliant and creative minds were at work: STAN LEE, SPIELBERG, PIXAR, LUCAS, TARANTINO... many others, we were exposed to entertaining, well researched, passionately written and most importantly ORIGINALLY WRITTEN stories.

Stories being produced now might have better quality in terms of animation and CG's, heck, we have 3D's, 4D's and tomorrow, they're all holographic! But, it's a shame that some major movies/ ideas today, are just photocopies of original stories injected with a bit of contemporary materials and settings. This is just my opinion, the ideas of Homer, Shakespeare, Tolkien, to name a few, are being recycled and re-invented in a less passionate and less heartfelt manner.

Oh! And I got my new driver's license and it took me only 2 hours to get it! Thank heavens (and Grisham's The Chamber for extinguishing my boredom.)  Now, the only thing left to do is...

*the thinker mode* You dont stop playing because you're old, you grow old because you stop playing. I read this quote somewhere, online, and it was stuck in my head for days. Not a bad quote. Something James Barrie might have lived by or believed in. It's a quote that fits my personality, more precisely my character. I love this quote because it gives the real definition of playing. The message of the quote may actually promote selfishness since it has the word 'playing' and playing is always fun and its meaning also varies from person to person. For me, it's to have fun in everything that you do, that no matter what we will all be children with experiences added with the years... But to absorb the negative instead of the positive things along the way is what takes out 'playing' in our lives. What's the moral lesson?

Good morning! It's 8:00 on a Wednesday morning and I just had my breakfast. So I was preparing for a beautiful and positive day but it started out not so well. Family. As I am currently not working I have the time to blog about something that happens regularly. I woke up to the bitchiness of my sister who's taking up med. I mean, if you can't handle the stress of medicine, might as well just let it go and move on with your life. She's miserable. Her negativity is contagious. I'm not saying she's stupid, but she has deep issues. I try to understand where her negativity is coming from, she can't clean up her stinking mess which she woke up to: bad smell, pimple on her face and a messy station-- bound to feel bad about everything.
